Never used a drill? We want you to feel confident whether it’s doing DIY around the house, starting a handcrafted project, looking after your car, or just simply upskilling! Join us for a beginners workshops led by women.

Want a bespoke workshop for your birthday, a girl guides group or in a community space? We're open to new ideas and offer workshops private and public workshops to suit your needs - get in touch.

Picnic in the Park- Netheredge Festival

Learn all the functions of a drills and how to change a drill bit while making your very own piece of artwork to take home. The best part is you don’t need any previous experience of using the tools, we’re all going to learn together!

After this drop-in workshop, you can use our specially created Decoration Station to add some colour to your art.

For this activity you will need to tie up any long hair or loose clothing and wear closed toe shoes.

Rotherham Show

We’re taking our award winning Drill Art to Rotherham! Join us at Clifton Park on the 2nd and 3rd September where you can learn how to use a drill and make your own piece of artwork to take home. We’ll be in the libraries tent alongside a host of other existing activities, performances and fun!

Making an Ottoman

Tickets for Ottomans go fast, book early to avoid disappointment.

If you've never used a drill, this workshop will introduce you to the basic functions of a drill. You'll learn to make a pilot hole and how to choose the right screw for the job.

You'll take home a handcrafted ottoman with hidden storage.

Please bring 2 meters of fabric to personalise your ottoman.

The finished product will measure slightly larger than 50cm x 50cm and 30cm tall.

At this workshop, you can learn these techniques and skills:

  • The basics of using a drill

  • Installing hardware - hinges

  • Using a handsaw

  • Upholstery

  • Making pocket holes with the Kreg Jig System

What’s included

  • All tools and material will be provided

  • Safe working practices

  • Introduction to tools and techniques

  • Personal protective equipment plus apron to wear

  • Unlimited answers to your questions

  • Teas and Coffees

This is a long workshop with a 30-minute break to rest your brain, feet and hands. We'll do all the woodwork in the first three hours, have a break, and come back to finish the upholstery.

Please bring your own lunch or buy food from one of our local cafes.
