Making an Ottoman

Tickets for Ottomans go fast, book early to avoid disappointment.

If you've never used a drill, this workshop will introduce you to the basic functions of a drill. You'll learn to make a pilot hole and how to choose the right screw for the job.

You'll take home a handcrafted ottoman with hidden storage.

Please bring 2 meters of fabric to personalise your ottoman.

The finished product will measure slightly larger than 50cm x 50cm and 30cm tall.

At this workshop, you can learn these techniques and skills:

  • The basics of using a drill

  • Installing hardware - hinges

  • Using a handsaw

  • Upholstery

  • Making pocket holes with the Kreg Jig System

This is a long workshop with a 30-minute break to rest your brain, feet and hands. We'll do all the woodwork in the first three hours, have a break, and come back to finish the upholstery.
