Making Coat Racks at Union St

If you've never used a drill, this workshop will introduce you to the basic functions of a drill. You'll learn to make a pilot hole and how to choose the right screw for the job.

You'll take home a handcrafted coat rack to add extra storage to an entryway, utility room or bedroom. Make sure to take some measurements before the workshop.

At this workshop, you can learn these techniques and skills:

  • The basics of using a drill

  • Sanding and planing reclaimed wood

  • Installing hardware - hooks

  • Using a handsaw
