Making Coat Racks at Union St

If you've never used a drill, this workshop will introduce you to the basic functions of a drill. You'll learn to make a pilot hole and how to choose the right screw for the job.

You'll take home a handcrafted coat rack to add extra storage to an entryway, utility room or bedroom.

At this workshop, you can learn these techniques and skills:

  • The basics of using a drill
  • Sanding reclaimed wood
  • Installing hardware - hooks
  • Using a handsaw
  • Making pocket holes with the Kreg Jig System
